A miniature player-piano seen as a primitive form of a computer becomes a "constraints device" that generates through a game of self imposed restrictions all the parameters of an architectural project. The outcome of this game is a landscape project along the boundary between Riverside Drive and Riverside Park in New York. The design deals with the process of transcription and suggests the disturbance of the delineated borders.
